The Judge is featured on Food Network series “Eating America” and wins first place “Best Decorated” boat at the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival in Fernandina, Florida.
The Judge wowed crowds and judges alike during the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival in Fernandina, Florida, winning “Best Decorated” boat. During the four-day festival, May 1-4, Captain Randy promoted and educated people about wild caught shrimp and the use of chemical preservatives.
BD Judge shrimp were also featured on a new Food Network series, “Eating America,” where the host travels to food festivals all over the country and tastes the best festivals offer. The show is hosted by former “Law and Order” actor Anthony Anderson, who loved the fresh and sweet BD Judge shrimp. The episode featuring The Judge will air on July 28 on Food Network.
The Judge was also filmed by the Discovery Channel for a program they are working on about a sunken galleon off the coast of Florida. The program is set to air in September.
The Judge makes history as the first shrimp boat inducted into the “Georgia Grown” program.
On July 1, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black proudly inducted The Judge into the Georgia Grown program at Atlanta’s Georgia Grown showcase. The Georgia Grown program is a marketing and economic development program of the Georgia Department of Agriculture. The goal is to aid Georgia’s agricultural economies by bringing together producers, processors, suppliers, distributors, retailer, agritourism and consumers in one community. The Georgia Grown brand is desired by business and consumers who want to buy and promote Georgia’s locally grown products (georgiagrown.com).
